Eli Meadow Ramraj
What is one thing you want students to know about you?
I am committed to building a stronger bridge between academia and the arts. The reason I was offered a full scholarship by the University of Toronto was due to both my academic achievements (high grades and ability to articulate myself from debate) and my creative achievements (my films, books, and unique writing style). I am determined to show that those with this kind of dual passion (in my case, filmmaking and philosophy) can find a way to make these worlds dance together, and that both are essential to a fulfilled life.
What's your educational background?
I completed my early education (the IB Diploma program) in Singapore, London, and Vancouver Island. I was a National Scholar at the University of Toronto, where I studied Cinema, Philosophy, Creative Expression & Society, and graduated with a fellowship. I completed my Master's in Film Directing in Berlin, and will be pursuing a Masters in Philosophy at King's College London.
