What is one thing you want students to know about you? 

I believe conversation is the most important thing in life, and much of my attention goes into improving my abilities in this regard. Everything is, in my opinion, improved by a skillful conversationalist, and someone who can find at least some way to converse with all people makes the world a warmer place.

What is something you would tell your younger self in high school?

Most of the things you do in life, with some small exceptions, should be done for their own sake - or at least contain some aspect worth doing for its own sake; this will save you from putting yourself into situations that make you doubt yourself and who you are.
