What is one thing you want students to know about you? 

I really enjoy learning new languages! Right now, I’m working on teaching myself Spanish and ASL in my free time.

What's your educational background?

I graduated from the IB program in 2019 (HL Biology, Psychology, and English; SL Math, French and Chemistry). I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at the University of Toronto. After graduation, I hope to either pursue a Masters of Teaching, or obtain a PhD in neuroscience research.

Name your favourite TV show, movie, and song:

I’ll admit that I don’t often watch TV/movies, but I really like music! So if I had to choose my favourite song, I’d go with Runaway by Kanye (but all of his stuff is great!).

What are some of your hobbies?

My hobbies include: playing drums/percussion, weight lifting, reading, and learning about the brain!

What was your favourite subject in high school?

My favourite “academic” classes were Biology and Psychology, however I enjoyed music class the most.

What is something you would tell your younger self in high school?

Prioritize trying new things. In high school I focused a lot on studying and getting good grades; I often neglected extracurriculars and hobbies I enjoyed! My biggest regret in high school was skipping concert band ensemble to study for my other classes.
